Straining at Gnats, Swallowing Camels

"This is the first link to all humans," Hurum, of the Natural History Museum in Oslo, Norway, said in a statement. Ida represents "the closest thing we can get to a direct ancestor." ~National Geographic
So, they're calling this little critter "Ida", lauding it as the "missing link".

Prior to this find, they knew they were looking for something, but had no clue as to its location, didn't know what it looked like, couldn't tell you how old it is, never saw it before, and had no proof of its existence; so what do they list it as? Missing!

Is that scientific?

Oh, but they found it now! Honest!

They've apparently kept it under wraps for two years while they studied it, just to make sure.

Well, pardon my... "skepticism", but isn't that a lemur of some sort, not an ape-man?
Honestly, it looks almost like a cat to me, but I know it is a monkey.

Evolution has always puzzled me, because I can't figure out how a grown adult of the Western culture can believe whales used to have legs but they fell off when they went swimming.

Or, giraffes have long necks because they stretched them so much while eating leaves.

The first giraffe had a short neck, didn't get to eat anything, so he died. Since he didn't have any offspring, it was the other giraffes who saw his shortcomings and decided to evolve longer necks.

Much effort on the part of the giraffes took place, but they slowly, over a few zillion years, got longer necks.

Ah, but a problem appeared! All the giraffes died because their hearts weren't big enough to get blood to their brains. Oh, except one, or I guess two, that saw all the other giraffes passing out, so they quickly, over a zillion years, evolved larger hearts to accommodate.

So they now have 22 pound hearts that pump massive amounts of blood to supply the brain.

Uh oh, another problem! All the giraffes' brains blew out their ears when they lowered their heads for a drink, due to the enormous blood pressure. Except one or two that didn't drink anything for a few zillion years so they can have enough time to evolve rete mirabile, the blood vessel system that uses "countercurrent blood flow ", basically a sponge, to maintain a stable amount of pressure to the brain.

Alright, the giraffes can now drink without fear of brain explosions!

Oh no, another problem! There's a pride of lions charging at the drinking giraffes! As soon as all the giraffes lift their heads to run, however, they die of heart failure because the sponge is still withholding a large amount of blood. Several giraffes did not lift their heads, seeing how dangerous it is to do so, and instead got eaten by the lions, except one or two that managed to be overlooked.

These remaining giraffes evolved, over only a half of a zillion years, the part of the sponge that drains the blood, thus maintaining perfect balance and pressure.

There was also a little spurt of evolution about their legs' capillaries bursting due to the extreme pressure on them, but Evolution, being a wise ol' fella, soon provided the giraffes with g-suit-like skin on their legs to keep them from exploding.

And Evolution isn't a faith?

Back to the topic at hand:

If this is the link, and I know it isn't, how can it be in the lineage of (according to "them") the most successful mammal on earth, but they've only found one in the entire history of paleontology? Where's the rest of them? Didn't he have a mother?

I think they should look for a tattoo.

"O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane [and] vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:"
~1 Timothy 6:20

EMTs Stopped and Assaulted for Failure to Yield to Highway Patrol

The man with the camera is the son of the woman in the ambulance; notice how it's the officer who tells the ambulance driver to "calm down" while choking him:

You know, I always considered emergency vehicles to be beyond traffic courtesy laws, especially in... an emergency!

"Failure to yield to a police officer" doesn't exactly seem to be the sort of thing over which one would stop an ambulance. In fact, I can't think of a single thing I would consider necessary to stop an ambulance. Nor can I find any possible law broken by an ambulance driver to warrant neck-wringing.

I have to feel sorry for the ambulance driver who was choked like that, but don't worry, the officer is under investigation. Of course, if there wasn't any video, who knows what kind of investigation there would be, and who knows what the cop would have said really happened?

I'm predicting, though I hope I'm wrong, the policeman will be found to have not done anything against policy. The local Chief of Police involved in the investigation didn't give me any hope to the contrary when he was qualifying his disapproval of the officer's actions with things like "from this camera view" and "from that perspective".

What do you need, an overhead shot in slow motion?

Were I at the scene of this insane incident, I don't think I would have tried to go over the officer's head, as I'm sure it's quite slippery up there.

(NOTICE: The officer in the above video shaves his head, which I'm sure he thinks makes him look tougher, though it actually makes him look shorter. Not that I have anything against people who shave their heads for legitimate reasons, such as for removal of lice or because their head is hot in the summer, though it is easier to get a sunburned head that way. But, if you're shaving your head to make yourself more intimidating, it obviously shows your lack of confidence in your own masculinity. If you're a woman and you shave your head, it shows you have an attention deficit disorder -- that is, you have a deficit in attention. The ambulance driver also shaves his head, which I find odd, since ambulance drivers have no reason to intimidate anyone, except perhaps Highway Patrolmen who feel their day in incomplete without flexing their muscles on innocent people's necks.)

The Value of a Dollar

In 1788, the Congress of the United States was given power to coin our currency by the U.S. Constitution, specifically Article 1, Section 8:

"Congress shall have power... To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;" ~Article 1, Section 8, U.S. Constitution

"No State shall... make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts;" ~Article 1, Section 10, U.S. Constitution

The Revolutionary War's "Continental Dollar" was the paper currency invented by the states for more war funding, but became notoriously worthless, thus bringing about the above clause to the law of the land.

The Mint Act of 1792 set the value of a dollar at approximately .05 ounces of gold, or at less than an ounce of silver.

The War of Southern Independence saw the first blatant lack of Constitutionality in the U.S.'s currency with Lincoln's greenbacks, which were openly backed in no precious metal at all.

The advent of paper used as de facto currency, and the U.S. Government's legitimization thereof, literally destroyed all hope of maintaining a free and safe currency.

We no longer have legitimate dollars, and have been using Federal Reserve Notes, denominated in supposed dollars, but they are basically worthless, only holding value as long as people accept them.

We haven't had a true dollar in this country since they stopped minting gold and silver coins as legal tender, just fake Federal Reserve Notes.

A Sign of Distress, not Disrespect

In 2007, North Carolinians Mark and Deborah Kuhn decided to show their distress at the way our country had fallen into such terrible disrepair by flying the U.S. flag outside their home upside-down.

A local sheriff's deputy had just come back from Iraq, being a National Guardsman (whom I thought were supposed to stay home and guard the nation...), and was going to give a citation to the people flying the flag upside-down, because "somebody complained".

It is a lawful sign of distress, not disrespect, but having their patriotism questioned in a very confrontational manner by another Guardsman in full combat uniform at their doorstep, they attached two signs to their flag, seen in the above picture, explaining their reasons for flying it inverted.

The sheriff's deputy, Brian Scarborough, arrived at the Kuhn's home very early in the morning to talk to them about the flag.

They told him at the door that the inverted flag is an internationally recognized, accepted, and lawful show of distress; the officer informed them that it was not that the flag was upside-down, the problem was the signs attached to it, saying it was "desecration"!

Mark Kuhn then removed the flag from his porch, but that wasn't enough for the deputy, who then demanded ID; after refusing to produce ID, the deputy ordered that they put their hands behind their so he could arrest them. Again, they refused.

Being both angered and wary of the cop, they both went back into the house and locked the door.

A moment later, the deputy was kicking-in the door; after he shattered the glass with his bare fist, he reached in to unlock the deadbolt.

He proceeded into the kitchen where Mark and Deborah had run. Deborah called 911 while Mark kept the deputy sheriff at bay.

The deputy put Mark in a headlock while he pulled out his pepper-spray, but decided not to use it, instead reaching for his billy club; this gave both Deborah and Mark a chance to escape into the street where they shouted for help from their neighbors.

Apparently, it was a short time later that nine police cars showed up, with their drivers jumping out saying, "Get down we're gonna Taser you!"

They were both arrested, despite immediate protest from their neighbors who wanted to know why they were being taken, but they were ordered to leave.

Sheriff's deputy Brian Scarborough claims to have injured his hand when the Kuhns shut the door on it, though it was maintained by Deborah Kuhn and another neighbor who witnessed that he injured it when he shattered the glass on their front door.

There is no punishment for violating any part of the U.S. Flag Code, as there is no provision for law enforcement of the Code, and the Supreme Court has ruled many violations of the U.S. Flag Code to be protected under the First Amendment.

On a recent trip to southern Missouri, I spotted a house along the highway that had a stately flag pole with a large U.S. flag flying upside-down; I knew they meant no disrespect, they just wanted to outwardly show their lack of support for the policies of despots and of tyrants.

I believe it reasonable to fly a flag upside-down for political reasons, though I find it unreasonable to burn one, unless it is disrepair, in which case I advise burning.

I also find it revolting that a person would fly a flag of another country over, or instead of, the U.S. flag., the latter of which I have noticed in town.

The U.S. Flag Code's provision for flying an inverted flag is that one's safety or property must be in immediate peril, but I can't think of a single such scenario where one can find the time or necessity to invert the flag.

"My pants are on fire! Quick, turn the flag upside-down!"

More Obama Ambuguity

Obama has made a very confusing statement at his Supreme Court nomination of Sonya Sotomayor.

"[Supreme Court Justices] are charged with the vital task of applying principles put to paper more than twenty centuries ago to some of the most difficult questions of our time." ~Barack Obama (Punctuation uncertain.)

I have to wonder to what he was referring. What principle was put to paper 2,000 years ago that a Supreme Court Justice would have to apply today?

I see two possibilities:

1) He is referring to the Constitution, but mistakenly says twenty centuries instead of twenty decades; after all, the purpose of the Supreme Court is judging Constitutional law.

2) He is referring to the Bible, which was at least completed more than 2,000 years ago, which would certainly contain principles that are still validly applied today.

But Obama is a secular Socialist, and he was nominating a secular Socialist judge; why would he want to bring up the Bible at such a time and place, since it is common opinion that it is inapplicable, outdated, and intolerant?

It may be that he is playing off of Sotomayor's one-time record of deciding against federal money being spent on abortion clinics, thus trying to appeal to the Christians.

Judge Andrew Napolitano (not related to the crazy-lady at DHS) said he knows Sotomayor, and she's the most liberal (in the modern sense) person in the President's list of possible nominees!

So, either Obama has no idea how old the Constitution is, or he has decided to start applying the principles of the Bible in his decision making.

(I suppose he could be talking about the Quran, since it's not quite as old as the Bible
, but who can know?)

"Probable Cause" Leaves an Innocent Man in a Coma

Yes, there was probable cause to arrest him, not shove him into a wall so hard that he is rendered unconscious, and eventually into a coma!

The cop did not violate their policies, but either some discretion should be used, or the policy must be altered; this should not happen in a free country.

The man that was "running", though I'd hardly call it that, had just barely come to a halt when the officer slammed him into the wall with so much force that the unconscious man's legs continued into the air even after he had hit the ground.

Disgusting.

An Examination of an Examiner Article

Because it contains a painting of an unclothed child, which Catholic artists, often, strangely and disturbingly depict, I will simply give you the relevant quote from an online article, written in The Examiner, concerning Marian theology, which states that Mary is the "Mother of God":

"You might be wondering how we take the leap into calling her our Mother. When Jesus was on the cross, He told his disciples: 'Behold your mother'. Because they were and we are brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ, she too is Our Mother. She is still with Him in heaven, and looks at us as her children."

Oh, well there you go! Nothing more to see here! Don't bother looking it up, 'cuz you heard it here first!

"These (Bereans) were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." ~Acts 17:11

Please reread the quote from the article now, and note the use of the plural "disciples".

Now let's search the scriptures to see if that thing is so:

"When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home." ~John 19:26-27 (This was said by Him from the cross.)

Was He speaking to more than one disciple? No, because he wanted that particular disciple to take care of the woman (note that he did not call her "Mother") that birthed him, since her husband had apparently already died and had no one else to rely upon.

You see, in order to justify their worship of a person that is unworthy of worship, whatever their reasons for doing so, one must rephrase verses from the Bible to fit their beliefs.

If you say "He told his disciples...", that shows a common relationship that, in this context, requires all to participate, but if you use the actual Word of God, it shows the true intent -- that of an individual caring for another individual.

No where in any version of the Bible, let alone the reliable one, is there mention of the glorification of Mary, nor is there of referring to her as the "Mother of God".

In fact, Jesus corrected a man for calling her His mother:

"While he yet talked to the people, behold, [his] mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.

Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?

And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother."
~Matthew 12:46-50

Quite a leap of faith, Catholicism.

Suspect Surrenders, Then is Brutalized II

Here is a better version of the video previously posted here:

It is clear to see that the guy is a knucklehead, and his peers should have smacked him upside the head for behaving and... looking like that, that is, if they didn't act and look the same.

Yes, he is a punk, but his prison culture is fed and nurtured by those evil souls who administer the gang tattoos and sell the ratty clothing to these kinds of people, wouldn't you agree?

That is why I find this the most odd circumstance of all: the cop that kicked him in the head owns a clothing store named "Torcido Clothing", which is Mexican for "imprisoned".

The store guarantee:
"Torcido Clothing™ features some of the hardest authentic jail house threads for the streets. Straight from East L.A..."

The features of some of the shirts sold:

11550: CA Health & Safety Code; Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance Any Illegal drug, such as Cocaine, Meth, Heroin

GREEN LIGHTERS: When the EME puts a gangsters name on the "hit list" to be assaulted or killed.

MEXICAN MAFIA HAND: The original drawing listing the Mexican Mafia members who wore this tattoo logo.

Suspect Surrenders, Then is Brutalized

The punk led a high-speed chase, then bailed, trying to run in his gang-banger clothing (loose shorts, untied shoes), eventually seeing that he'd run out of options.

Knowing his spree was over, he did the right and manly thing, giving up without a fight.

The cop, though, had other ideas.

You see, he is so hyped-up on adrenaline that he can't help but unleash his primal instincts to kill his prey (as well as unsheathe his not-so-primal handgun).

After clearly kicking the man in the head with his (probably steel-toed) jackboots, he maces him, though this is not visible in the above version of the video.

As the other predators arrive to get their licks in, which involves hyper-extending his arms and driving their knees into his back, they show mercy on the man by not loosing the hound of war they brought with them.

In order of the highlights appearance, here's the timetable of the video:

0:12 Man bails the vehicle.

0:33 Man realizes his only option is to surrender.

0:37 Man assumes the spread-eagle stance of submission.

0:40 Cop appears, gun drawn, charging the motionless suspect.

0:41 Cop kicks the man in the head.

0:56 Second cop appears as first cop arrests the already kicked/maced suspect/victim; both manage to drive their knees into the man's lower back.

0:59 Second cop back-hands the suspect repeatedly as first cop hyper-extends his hands over his head, something that was not meant for a human arm to do.

1:00 Third cop brings a mentally-mistreated police dog to eat the man in case he manages to escape the police.

1:02 Third cop allows the warhound to bite the man on the leg, even though he is clearly in custody.

1:04 Second and third cop congratulate each other in a job well done.

I Am a Native American

Something that has been on and off my mind for a couple years now is the fact that I am a native American.

I am 1/32nd (or so) Cherokee, but does that make me any more special than any other American?

What if I was a full-blooded Cherokee? Would I be entitled to any special treatment from others?

I accept any reward for something over which I am not in control. Any man that relies upon his father's or grandfather's or great grandfather's position in life, be it by skin or upbringing or medical condition or country of origin, for treatment above that of another does not deserve the respect others. Nor should any man be treated any lower for the same.

No man is "predisposed" to do or be anything that he or God allows him to be or do.
No man is predisposed to be an alcoholic, to be smarter, slower, reach high position, to have a poor work-ethic, or be forced to do something against his will and without just compensation. This is what is meant by, "...all men are created equal."

I am a native American.

Many people have legitimized illegal immigrants by saying that "we are a nation of immigrants", and that even the founders of this country were immigrants.

Were they?

George Washington: born in Colonial Beach, Virginia.
John Adams: Braintree, Massachusetts.
Thomas Jefferson: Shadwell, Virginia.
James Madison: Port Conway, Virginia.
Samuel Adams: Boston, Massachusetts.
Patrick Henry: Studley, Virginia.
John Hancock: Braintree, Massachusetts.

On a quite separate list we have Son3, who was born in Illinois.

I was born in this country, and I am granted certain rights, the same as any decent human being, by God; I am guaranteed them by the Constitution of the country in which I was born.

Every human on earth is given certain inalienable rights, the degree of freedom of the individual man is determined and gauged in the use and the defense thereof.

No human is guaranteed good government, and the degree of freedom of the individual nations is determined and gauged in the permission of rights, given by God to man, that are reigned in by government.

I inherited a good government, but it was hijacked by corrupted men long before I was born; the country I read about in my text books exists only in those textbooks, now.

I have resigned myself, for the present time and near future, that I will have a destructive government for a good many years to come; only God and righteous men may make our land a free nation once again.

I am first and always a citizen of God's Kingdom to God and other such citizens, the precious citizenry of which lasting longer time; I am a citizen of the United States of America to the government of the same and other such citizens, the citizenry of which lasting only as long as the government stands; but, I am also a citizen of America to myself and the land on which I was born and to other such citizens, the citizenry of which lasting as long as this earth remains unscorched and intact by the mercy of God.

Governments come and go, but the land and those on it never leave; so as long as I am on my country's soil, I retain all rights granted to me by law, the Constitution, all legislation to the contrary notwithstanding.

I am told by God to obey the higher powers, to obey the law, which is the Constitution; and, since the law in this country was never meant to be temporarily instated, I will continue to uphold its God-inspired sovereignty, paying no heed to the power-mad oligarchs who may subvert it by unlawful means.

It is my duty as a native American.

Local Reactions to Obama Deception

A town in Ohio had a screening of "The Obama Deception" recently.

(We Are Change is in no way associated with Obama or his policies.)

I highly recommend The Obama Deception; though a few of the things said by one of the interviewees at the end (KRS1) I found questionable, the film on the whole is very informative.

See it here. Buy it here. (I suggest you get a DVD/t-shirt combo, as it is a better buy.)

Patriot Act Assault: Ashton Lundeby

Please read the full story of the 16 year old, 120 pound kid who was abducted by the FBI.

This was done with the cooperation of the local state police under the false pretense of Ashton being accused of a hit-and-run accident, in which he was actually involved, but on the receiving end.

If you follow the link above, you will see the lengths to which they went just to arrest a kid for a threat that any layman could determine to be unsubstantiated.

Deception, trickery, terror, fear, intimidation, half-truths, and bullying were techniques used to get this child behind bars where no one can reach him.

I am convinced this child is innocent of all charges, based on the evidence provided.

But, only time will tell the whole story.

Of States, of Tyrants, and of Banners

According to The American Vision, a man in Louisiana has been detained by police on the side of the road for displaying one of America's first flags on a bumper-sticker. He had to wait while they ran a background check on him to make sure he wasn't a member of an "extremist group".

It is apparent that displaying Rattler flags is now illegal in some states.

I'm glad. They just keep pushing it more and more, people are waking up to the massive amounts of treason and terror and treachery against us.

The line in the sand is now being drawn between the free, sovereign states and the enslaved, agent states with the issue of gun rights; Alaska, Montana, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah are all saying any firearms or ammunition made in their states are free from federal regulation.

If Kansas doesn't allow itself to join them, as we have a very dysfunctional legislature, I may join the influx of freedom-seeking peoples from all over the country that will undoubtedly be making the pilgrimage to the free states. I hope, though, that Kansas will not fail me.

But, will Obama allow these states to defy him? Will the Democrats or back-stabbing Republicans allow this either? Will the men who have invested their lives and fortunes into disarming this enslaved nation allow it, too?

Montana's law goes into effect in October; will we see something happen that may hinder the execution of such legislation -- say, Martial Law?

There would have to be a pretext for this, but it's easy enough to create a problem-reaction-solution. Eh, Obama?

Alan Keyes Arrested Protesting Abortion

Alan Keyes was arrested along with several others while protesting abortion on the Notre Dame campus.
I have always supported Alan Keyes, as he is a great American, and I hope the full details of his arrest will quickly be made public. This sort of thing will only continue as the Socialist takeover continues over the coming months and years.

Oath Keepers: Ten Orders We Will Not Obey

I offer this organization my fullest support and admiration.

Were they alive to see, our country's founders would have been more than pleased with these men.

American Child Held Without Due Process under Patriot Act

We cannot know the truest circumstances of this, as no access to the boy is allowed, but one thing is certain: the Patriot Act is being used to deny due process to an American citizen, and it must be stopped.

It may be that this kid made some sort of inappropriate threat to someone, which is very stupid and dangerous in and of itself, but we just can't know the facts until he is tried or released; a more menacing threat is that toward our individual freedoms by certain rogue entities within our governmental system.

Story can also be seen at Oath Keepers, an organization I fully support.

The Answer to 1984

This is a must-read for all my readers.

Please, read it all the way through, because first I agreed, then I disagreed, then I fully agreed; perhaps a tweak or two in the described policies would improve it, but I think this article is spot on!

I know it is a mere pipe-dream, but it is a very clever and American ideation.
