Obama, the Great Dictator?

I know this is unlike me, posting comedic videos like this, but I couldn't help but think of Obama when I saw it. From Charlie Chaplin's The Great Dictator:

(I'd recommend the movie, though it contains very Communistic sentiments at the end.)

Obama shares many characteristics with Hitler, including his almost hypnotic speaking ability, his emphasis on hope and change, his emphasis on government ownership of industry, and wanting to be constantly fueling his foreign wars. (Afghanistan, Iraq)

He has a cult following similar to Hitler's, he is pushing for brownshirt-like mandatory assemblies of young people as a second military, and he is for the extermination of innocent lives.

Did Hitler ever use teleprompters?

I was emailed this before the election, and it was a little scary.

Thank you for that informative link.

Yes, it is a little scary, but unsurprising once you've realized that everything in history, even that of the most minute detail, is constantly repeating itself.

Someday, the things going on now will happen again, that is, if the earth continues long enough; I hope He comes back before then, though.

Hynkel, hahahahaha! I've seen that movie. But that's the only funny thing about your post. Again, right on sir! Get your guns out of the closet and keep your ammunition handy....

Thank you for the comment, Johann!

It's a favorite movie of mine, but I hate the Commie speech at the end.

Glad to know there's someone else out there that appreciates the humor of the movie!

BTW, is that pseudonym Dutch or German?

Guten Nacht!

Mein namen ist Nederlands.
Und sprechen sie Deutsch?
Ich bin ein Deutsche studentin.

If you switch the language to Spanish right before the communist propaganda at the end, it's almost funny. We tried that when the disk malfunctioned, and put on English subtitles. Didn't work.
Where in the world do you get those oh so poignant illustrations? Do you make them yourself?
Sic Semper Tyrannis,
Johann
