Beer Summit Joke

Obama, Biden, Gates, and Crowley all sit down together for the President's "Beer Summit" to discuss racial issues.

They all order their favorite beers in tall, glass mugs.

When Crowley's beer arrives, Obama says, "'Crowley', that name's Irish isn't it?

Crowley replied, "Yes, my great-grandfather was from Limerick!"

Obama then said, "Well, this is supposed to be a peaceful get-together, is it a good idea for you to be drinking so much?"

Lol!

Who's Obama to criticize someone for their Irish roots? Everybody knows that "there's no one as Irish as Barack Obama!"

That's right!

Thanks for the comment, Mike!

For those of you who didn't know.

Actually, he would be better described as North Irish.

Ha! That's funny alright. I don't think he was necessarily criticizing Crowley's Irish roots, he was just making a joke. :)
After all, he is the comedian in chief, eh?

No, he was making fun of the Irish stereotype of drunkenness and brawling; I should know, because I wrote the joke! Obama didn't say it, I did!

Thanks for the comment!

Hey Son3, have you read Patriots, by James Rawles, or Heiland, by Franklin Sanders, or anything else along that line?

Unknown said...

No, but after looking at the synopses of those books, they'll definitely be something I'll want to read.

How are they?

I haven't read any books like that in forever, but I'm hoping that will change soon; I used to be a bit of a bookworm, but I don't know how I fell off of that habit.

I suppose I got caught up in news and politics, with a pinch of eschatology, but I'd like to get back to some more book reading.

Excellent pastime.

Aye. I've not read Heiland, but I have read Patriots. I highly recommend it with discretion. Some parts are very violent, with some little questionable material, but all in all definitely recommended. The author is, I believe, a Christian. The subject is one that I plan to read more of. Do you read SurvivalBlog? If you do, have you looked up the Traitors (a book) link button on the sidebar? Those are three books I'm going to look into.
BTW, I meant to send you an email last night, but I couldn't figure out how to attach pictures without sending them in a manner that might slow down your computer. I'll run that one by my dad - but don't despair, I haven't forgotten!
In the meantime, here is my sister's blog, (feel free to leave a comment),

I think I've been to SurvivalBlog once, but didn't linger; I'll check it out.

I was a-wonderin' what happened to that email!

Thanks for the links!
