Sir, You Have No Right

Example of a 2nd Amendment sticker.

Shreveport, Louisiana is now not allowing anyone to have a 2nd Amendment bumper sticker.

You see, a man was pulled over by a cop for not using his turn signal. I may as well tell you, if you weren't aware, that some policemen will follow a motorist they suspect is doing/will do something wrong, until they make any minor traffic violation, such as not using their signal.

If you think I'm making that up, rest assured that I'm not.

Now, when this man was pulled over, the policeman, of course, asked for his DL, registration, insurance, why he didn't use his signal, etc., yes?

No, none of that boringness.

He instead asked the driver if he had a gun, where it was, inquired as to his NRA membership status, etc.

I'm sure this strange line of questioning had absolutely nothing to do with the two 2nd Amendment bumper stickers and American flag on the back of his truck, right? Well, that question was answered when the poor man asked if everyone was treated this way and the officer answered "no", while indicating the stickers. The victim answered every one of the civil servant's questions honestly, and then had his gun confiscated.

This was done regardless of the man's "Mother, May I" Concealed Carry Permit.

So, the man later called the mayor of Shreveport to complain and maybe get some action taken.

Oh, he got action.

"Sir, you have no right, when you have been pulled over by a police officer for a potential criminal offense, to stand there with your weapon at your side, in your hand, because of your second amendment rights, sir. That does not mean at that point your second amendment right has been taken away; it means at that particular point in time, it has been suspended." ~Mayor Cedric Glover

The article to which I linked states Louisiana does "allow" people to carry loaded firearms in their vehicles, but does the state have any say in what is "allowed"? Is it not a right?

It is a Constitutionally guaranteed right to keep and bear arms. I'm no longer going to qualify this fact by even mentioning "some people don't think so", because it is so. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.

You can say the sun is black, lightning is a theory, oxygen is toxic, fish can't swim, bees turn into butterflies, the moon is made of cheese, marshmallows are made from clouds, and you can have a major following believing it, and lots of made up "evidence" for it, but you're still wrong!

And when the government enforces its incorrect opinions with its made up "law", and if we don't stop it, we have finally lost America.

ADDENDUM: It has come to my attention that a majority of what I write here may be construed to mean that "all cops are bad", so to speak. Nothing could be further from the truth; not in my mind, and not in reality. There are large contingents of civil servants and service members that have banded together to promote the end of unconstitutionality in their respective fields, and they call themselves the "Oath Keepers". I support this group's message and efforts, and I note the climate of our culture that would promote the necessity of such a group that wasn't needed in a past era. I also would like to make clear my stance that armed conflict is not now, nor ever shall be, the answer or solution to the problem of domestic tyranny in America, rather a constant jarring of the Sleeping Giant that is the American people, and that to be done through these news blurbs and opinionated posts. Elections will not save us, and violence would only send us over the cliff; we must now make a national appeal to Heaven. Nothing but turning to the God of the Bible for the answer can save our nation from the destruction that shall, by hook or crook, ruin us. This is the course I now and forever shall take.

I ask you to do the same.

Hey Son3, check out the Texas Rangers! Have you ever heard of them before, and did you know they're still active today, basically as state-sponsored militia?! So awesome! Hurrah for the Lone Star State! I'm ready to move there, how 'bout you? :) Never mind, you're considerably closer anyhow!

I'd move, but I feel a need to try to save Kansas, first.
