It's a shame Jefferson's vision of a worldwide revolution of self-governance, and constant advances towards more liberty, were not realised.
And he did say that each generation needs its own revolution.
How long have we gone since last overthrowing our governments? 200 years for America, 300 years for England. Maybe the superclass have become a little too comfortable on their thrones.
The last line really caused me to stop and ponder..."All eyes are opened, or opening, to the rights of man" Could almost be used as a prayer for today. Pray it's not too late. Thank You!

My opinion... When 50% of the populous can vote for benefits on the the back of the other half, elections unfortunately won't be able to save the union. We are not there yet but close. Our future may very well be similar to what is going on in Honduras. And it may one day be obama calling for the blue helmets to save his reign. Prophetic? What is unfolding daily is scary. We truly are under attack from a domestic enemy. All I can do for now is try to spread the truth. I know it really didn't answer your question. For some of us our word is still sacred and it is my vow to defend the constitution against all. As such, I hope it's not too late.
