Posse Comitatus Ignored

The Army has deployed the Third Division's First Brigade within the U.S., though it is unclear exactly where.

The stated purpose of this deployment is "crowd control" using "non lethal" weapons, but the troops will have access to automatic rifles and firearms, as well as tanks.

They are slated to remain deployed in the U.S. for twelve months; this is clearly wanton disregard for the Posse Comitatus Act.

Under the Posse Comitatus Act, the men responsible for the deployment of the military to enforce the laws of the United States may be fined or imprisoned for two years, or both.

I will update to include the place of deployment just as soon as I can.

Uh-oh! Let's play "track the army"!

A couple of F-18's flew over our house the other day, but they were probably headed for Talladega where the big race was.

Very interesting.

LOL! Yeah, better keep your binos handy!

Hornets are my favourite! We keep seeing A-10's fly over.

Odd.

Wow, I did'nt know about this, the 3rd's Armor trains about 7 miles from my house.

If they're coming for me they'll need more than one Brigade ;).

I saw 2 C-5 Galaxy's flying east-ward this week.

God Bless,
~Mike

PS I though ya'll might like to see this.

Thanks for the comment, Mike! Or, should I say "tanks"? (Yet another sorry attempt at humor.)

If any planes fly over at night, do what I did... salute!
(If they have FLIR they'll think you're a military guy.)

BTW, funny link!
