Jesus "Challenges" Catholics

An interesting compilation by a Catholic priest of things he always seems to want to do or believe, but Jesus seems to want him to do or believe something else. Take a look at it, as it's rather thought-provoking.

I've arranged my own compilation along those same lines, also from the point of view of a Catholic, but with a slightly different angle:

I want to call my priest "Father," and He says, "Call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven."

I want to pray to God through the saints and their statues, and He says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

I want to be saved by living a good life, and He says, "By grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

I want to believe only the Pope is God's personal vicar and holy representative on Earth, and He says, "There is no respect of persons with God."

I want to call Mary the 'Mother of God', and He says, "Whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother."

I want to do all of these things anyway, because they are all long-standing traditions in my Church, and He says, "Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition."

Pondering the Memorare and Consecration to St. Joseph and Mary

"O Mary, Virgin most powerful and Mother of mercy, Queen of Heaven and Refuge of sinners, we consecrate ourselves to thine Immaculate Heart." ~Catholic "Consecration to Mary"

Oh, nothing wrong with that, right?

"Remember, O most chaste spouse of the Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who implored your help and sought your intercession were left unassisted. Full of confidence in your power I fly unto you and beg your protection. Despise not O Guardian of the Redeemer my humble supplication, but in your bounty, hear and answer me. Amen." ~Catholic "Memorare to St. Joseph"

Oh yeah, it's totally scriptural! Honest!

But wait, there's more!

"O dearest St. Joseph, I consecrate myself to your honor and give myself to you, that you may always be my father, my protector and my guide in the way of salvation. Obtain for me a greater purity of heart and fervent love of the interior life. After your example may I do all my actions for the greater glory of God, in union with the Divine Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. O Blessed St. Joseph, pray for me, that I may share in the peace and joy of your holy death. Amen." ~Catholic "Act of Consecration to St. Joseph"

That is completely in keeping with God's Word... honest! Except a few things:

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." ~John 14:6

"And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven." ~Matthew 23:9

"But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe." ~Galatians 3:22

"I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living." ~Matthew 22:32

"He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err." ~Mark 12:27

And, about the whole "Queen of Heaven" title:

"The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger." ~Jeremiah 7:18

Color me a crazy conspiracy theorist (if you haven't already), but I'm thinking this was staged. It just doesn't seem right, if you know what I mean. He was supposedly protesting abortion funding.

Maybe he was legit, but I don't know. He seemed to not be all there.

After talking to Wolf Blitzer about his run for Alabama Governor in '14, Charles Barkley explained what he meant by "all conservatives are fake Christians" (my words are in bold):

"They [Christians] want to be judge and jury. Like, I'm for gay marriage, it's none of my business if gay people want to get married. I'm pro-choice. And I think these Christians... first of all, they're supposed to be... they're not supposed to judge other people, but they're the most hypocritical judge of people we have in this country. And it bugs the blithers out of me... they act like they're Christians, and they're not forgiving at all." ~Charles Barkley

Wolf Blitzer: "So, uh, you're going to get a lot of feedback on this one, Charles."

"They can't do anything to me, I don't work for them." ~Charles Barkley

Wolf Blitzer: "So, you feel comfortable saying all that?"

Okay, let us see what the Bible has to say about Charles Barkley's "gospel":

"...They should read the part of the Bible that they're not supposed to judge other people."


I think he was referencing the following verses:

"Judge not, that ye be not judged." Matthew 7:1

"Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way." ~Romans 14:13

I suppose, though, he didn't read as far as this:

"Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." ~John 7:24

And, what about this:

"These (Bereans) were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." ~

So, the Bereans were considered "noble" for judging what they were taught of men by reading the scriptures? If no Christian is to judge anyone or anything, how are we to know what is to be considered wrong? How can we "forgive" someone, if we aren't allowed to judge or convict them of wrongdoing? Can there be such a thing as "wrong" if we cannot judge "right" from "wrong"? What would be the purpose of that?

It is only common sense that we ought to judge, righteously, and with the scriptures, what Charles Barkley has to say, and what anyone says or does.

A newcomer to the Information War, Invisible Empire, created by the same people that made Endgame and The Obama Deception, looks to be a very informational and interesting chronicling of our times and how we got here. This preview contains much of a speech by John Fitzgerald Kennedy, who was, I believe, our last true President.

In this Information War, there are many selfless men who have placed their lives and fortunes in harm's way to help our side win, which is the side of goodness and humanity; I feel there is no such thing as a "small part" in this InfoWar. These are the "InfoWarriors".

I am a Christian, and am not so much required as I am compelled by my Faith to warn and help direct my fellow Christians and fellow man toward Saving Knowledge. I am as incapable of saving as I am incapable of leading to that end, as I can merely help. Wretchedly as I do this, I try.

I would see a person as a miserable creature, lower than dust, if they did not grab a man by the arm who did not see the bus speeding down the road, or did not warn that family next door, who had no means of communication, that a tornado had just touched down nearby.

So, too, would I hold equally as miserable a creature that slapped the helping hand off of his arm, or laughed at the man that warned of imminent danger, who, not caring to save his own family, would rather not entertain such an "impossibility".

I make no career of warning the masses; perhaps I should, but I do not. I see well-versed men taking up that role, putting aside their daily lives and lessening their time with their families; being so wrapped-up in saving our nation that they hardly have a life left for themselves. I help these men disseminate information when I can, this blog being a tool of that, and I ask you to do the same.

There was a time, during our country's beginnings, when men would drop their plows and pocketbooks and sign up to fight for a season while their country was at war. Some signed on with the Regulars as a permanent arm of military might; had every man joined the Regulars, though, there wouldn't have been men left at home to create a cultivated, well-kept, plenteous country worth the fight.

I am no InfoWarrior; perhaps, though, I am an InfoMilitiaman.

Why not investigate what you do not know to be fact? Why, instead of saying, "There is no 'New World Order'," do you not look into it for yourself? Why, instead of listening to men on TV tell you to believe or not believe something because you should trust them, do you not question that trust and investigate their claims?

An Examination of an Examiner Article

Because it contains a painting of an unclothed child, which Catholic artists, often, strangely and disturbingly depict, I will simply give you the relevant quote from an online article, written in The Examiner, concerning Marian theology, which states that Mary is the "Mother of God":

"You might be wondering how we take the leap into calling her our Mother. When Jesus was on the cross, He told his disciples: 'Behold your mother'. Because they were and we are brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ, she too is Our Mother. She is still with Him in heaven, and looks at us as her children."

Oh, well there you go! Nothing more to see here! Don't bother looking it up, 'cuz you heard it here first!

Please reread the quote from the article now, and note the use of the plural "disciples".

Now let's search the scriptures to see if that thing is so:

"When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home." ~John 19:26-27 (This was said by Him from the cross.)

Was He speaking to more than one disciple? No, because he wanted that particular disciple to take care of the woman (note that he did not call her "Mother") that birthed him, since her husband had apparently already died and had no one else to rely upon.

You see, in order to justify their worship of a person that is unworthy of worship, whatever their reasons for doing so, one must rephrase verses from the Bible to fit their beliefs.

If you say "He told his disciples...", that shows a common relationship that, in this context, requires all to participate, but if you use the actual Word of God, it shows the true intent -- that of an individual caring for another individual.

No where in any version of the Bible, let alone the reliable one, is there mention of the glorification of Mary, nor is there of referring to her as the "Mother of God".

In fact, Jesus corrected a man for calling her His mother:

"While he yet talked to the people, behold, [his] mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.

Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?

And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother." ~Matthew 12:46-50

Quite a leap of faith, Catholicism.

The Age of Precedents

Yes, I am calling the political era in which we live the Age of Precedents.

Why? Because everyday, every thing that is done on a political or judicial level, the world over, is setting a precedent, whether it be hot or cold, good or evil, Constitutional or tyrannical.

This G20 meeting is one of many meetings and organizations that is setting the precedent of global integration and internationalism; that, in order to solve the domestic problems caused by a hijacked government, it is now necessary to band all of the closet-tyrants of the world together to continue that which has been spoken of for almost a century: the "New World Order".

Slavery and the Insanity of the 1860's: Robert E. Lee

There is little question that the vast majority, if not a full unanimity, of the leadership of the Confederacy were for the institution of slavery; this is a certainty. But, my point here is that the war was not about slavery.

I've found a few quotes from Robert E. Lee that best fit the topic at hand.

"So far from engaging in a war to perpetuate slavery, I am rejoiced that Slavery is abolished. I believe it will be greatly for the interest of the South. So fully am I satisfied of this that I would have cheerfully lost all that I have lost by the war, and have suffered all that I have suffered to have this object attained." ~Robert E. Lee

It's clear that he was basically opposed to slavery, and expressed how disinterested he was in the continuation of it.

He also said what I feel to be one of the best quotes of the war:
"This war is not about slavery." No interpretation needed there!

Another of his quotes, however, needs a bit more attention:

"In this enlightened age, there are few I believe, but what will acknowledge, that slavery as an institution, is a moral & political evil in any Country. It is useless to expatiate on its disadvantages. I think it however a greater evil to the white man than to the black race, & while my feelings are strongly enlisted in behalf of the latter, my sympathies are more strong for the former.
The blacks are immeasurably better off here than in Africa, morally, socially & physically. The painful discipline they are undergoing, is necessary for their instruction as a race, & I hope will prepare & lead them to better things. How long their subjugation may be necessary is known & ordered by a wise Merciful Providence." ~Robert E. Lee

It isn't natural for any person to work under another for little or no gain, so it is necessary to justify certain practices in order to go along with the crowd.

Enslavement of Africans had been a long established institution all over the Western world, so those participating in it would have seen little error in its continuation.

Robert E. Lee, being a Christian, points out that he morally objects to slavery, but legitimizes it by saying that it helps in "their instruction as a race". He apparently, though erroneously, saw their "subjugation" as a necessary evil.

Even today, supporters of segregation point to God making "white man white, and black man black" for a reason: segregation, and to break this ordained separation would be destroying His ordinances. This idea is rather silly, and is, in fact, heresy.

There are only two races identified and recognised by God: Christian and non-Christian.

"For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."
~Galatians 3:27-29

"Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all." ~Colossians 3:11

Had the war never started, and slavery continued to this day, I would fight to the death to end it; had the South won the war, and slavery continued to this day, I would fight it all the harder.


The institution of slavery didn't end in America because of the war, however.
And, I feel that, had the South won, it would have eventually phased-out, as it has in numerous other countries.

Slavery will forever be the blot on the banner of the Southern Confederacy's cause; it has, and always will, blind many to the true meaning of the war.

Mormonism: Part II

"John said, 'And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent' (John 17:3). In order to truly know God the Father and Jesus Christ in the eternities, we must be like them. To be heirs of Christ in the eternities is to inherit His attributes. In that sense, we can become “gods.” This principle does not diminish God or Christ in any way."

They seem to forget what happened when Lucifer sought to become a god:

"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit." ~Isaiah 14:12-15

Satan never said that he would be greater than God, only that he would be like the most High.

What did Satan say would happen if Eve ate the forbidden fruit?

"And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."

The same method of control is involved here.

Mormons defend this doctrine of "Theosis" by referring to the words of ancient "saints", falsely so-called.

Quotes from Heretics and Gnostics such as Irenaeus, Polycarp, Clement of Alexandria, and Origen of Alexandria contribute to their belief in this doctrine.

Nowhere in the Bible is there mention of becoming gods, lesser gods, half-gods, partial gods, or gods-in-law. Rather, he instructs us to become as little children:

"Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein." ~Mark 10:15

"Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven." ~Matthew 18:4

Mormonism: Part I

This excerpt was taken from Mormon.org, the LDS website:

Excerpt from the "restored commandments" of Mormonism:
Follow the Prophet: God reveals the truths necessary for salvation through prophets and apostles. The President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a living prophet.

However, the Bible says, "Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart." ~Jeremiah 14:14

"Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD." ~Jeremiah 23:16

Give Unto Caesar: A Disscussion of Christ's Teachings

"Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk."

The Pharisees were a very strict Jewish faction, and are now existing under the name of "Rabbinic Judaism". Their purpose is to unify, compile, and adhere to the law of Moses. (But, that's another article.)

"And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any [man]: for thou regardest not the person of men."

"Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?"
Please note the wording of the question: "Is it lawful..."

"But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?"

"Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny."

"And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?"

"They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's."

"When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way."

Jesus was asked if it is lawful to pay taxes. His response, in my opinion, meant "yes, only if that's the law". It would be silly for a person to pay taxes not required of them, and equally stupid to break the law by not paying what is due.

In America, we retain the right to protest an unfair law, or if it's an un-Constitutional law, to refuse it.
The Constitution is the law that supercedes all other laws in the U.S.; God's law supercedes all laws everywhere.


"And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King." ~Luke 23:2

Romans 13: Tool of Tyrants? II

The following are relevant KJV Bible verses from Romans 13 in italics. My commentary is in "blue".

The American form of government is different from any other government ever conceived on earth. What I say here is only my humble opinion, and does not cover the civil obligations of other nations and governments.

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
What is the highest power in the United States? The Constitution.
So, what power has God ordained in America? The Constitution.

Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
Who or what is resisting the Constitution more and more everyday?

For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
This is clearly anti-Anarchist and anti-Tyranny. It is meet that man have good government, it only makes sense.

For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
Don't break the law. It’s that easy.

Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
Again, by grace of God, we have inherited a good Constitution and usually just by-laws.

For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
A good government cannot run on empty.

Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
Notice "to whom...is due"; very important. There are few obligations to which we, as Americans, are forced to submit.

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Here, we're told to follow the law of God, and we won't have anything to worry about.
More importantly, here we are given basic law-making guidelines.

All good and basic laws emanate from God.

Basically, the current three branches of government, by sidelining the Constitution (highest American power), are in complete rebellion against God and God-ordained law; thus, they shall receive to themselves damnation from God, lest they repent.

I humbly thank God that I'm an American; I'm not prideful, but thankful. I'm thankful that I'm answerable to a just Law, and a just God.

It's Only Natural

“And [God] hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;” ~Acts 17:26

My faith is Christian, my book is the Bible; no more is necessary for daily life than this.

Many are confused about the meaning of the term “race”; the modern usage usually refers to the “color” of the skin. But, the original usage referred more generally to what might be called “people groups”. For example, one might speak of the Irish race as opposed to the “white” race, with the implication of both general appearance and national character.

It is natural for a nation of people to share common traits such as appearance and a general value system. It only makes sense.

When a nation doesn't maintain an all around consensus of these commonalities, a division is made, usually resulting in war or other cultural issues.

What we have in America isn’t natural; there are too many cultures here for one nation.
While the problem is helped by the decentralization of power in government, it isn’t solved.

It has gotten to the point where one cannot even read a simple product label at the store because he can’t find his own language. That’s a serious problem.

One nation should have one culture; every empire that has had more than one culture has fallen.
The divisions among nationalities are natural as well as biblical; God destroyed the tower of Babel because of man’s desire for world government: one tongue, one people, one government.

National divisions are God inspired.

It is natural for immigrants from their own land to come to another land and adopt the culture, but it is not natural for ten, twenty, or thirty different cultures to exist in one land.

My culture is American, my race is American, my creed is American.

I accept no other nation’s culture. This is natural.

My skin is not “white”, for if it was, I would be in the hospital.

All men are different shades of brown. All men. This is a scientific fact.

Some darker, some lighter; I'm somewhere between.
It matters not to me what shade a person is.

The answer to our cultural problems is not a “colorblind society”, but a Christian society; the kind of society spoken of by the founders of our country, and the Founder of my faith.

Generations ago, my ancestors came from the Celtic Nations, and over a couple hundred years came to be settled in the Ozarks region of America.

Over time, generation after generation, gene pool mixed with gene pool, and a set of characteristics and traits became that of my entire family. Black hair, blue eyes, these are just some of the family traits.

Why, I’ve got English, Irish, Spanish, Norwegian, Scottish, and Cherokee blood coursing through my veins, and still, I am of one blood.

Many nations, one blood.

But none of it matters, I have no sense of pride or prejudice.
I’m a Christian American, that's all that I am, and that's all that matters.
I don’t really care for anything other than my God, my family and my country; little more, nothing less.

Political Correctness and the promotion of race has ripped my nation apart, and I do not wish to further discuss my personal "race" or people group, and I do not wish for others on this blog to discuss their "race" or people group. The only mention of "race" you will see here is how our enemies use it against us as Christians and Americans.

We are all descendants of Adam.

I don't care what color a person is, I really don't.
I don't subscribe to that kind of group mentality, as it takes away from one's sense of individualism.

Davidian Warfare

"And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling [was] in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.", ~1 Samuel 17:40

"And the Philistine said unto David, [Am] I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods." ~1Samuel 17:43


I always thought that when Goliath says “…that thou comest to me with staves,” he was simply referring to the rudimentary weaponry that David carried with him, but recent discoveries on my part have put two and two together and I realized that David may have taken a staff-sling into battle instead of an ordinary hand held sling.

Staff-slings were in use from very ancient times onward to the gunpowder age, though they were mostly used in warfare.
They consisted of a staff to the top of which was tethered a pouch. It would be slung like a lever over the head.

The projectiles could be quite large, so the range was somewhat diminished, but the power and surprising accuracy behind it was likely unmatched. A blow to the head would be absolutely lethal.

For transport, the staff-sling may have been dismantled in such a way which kept the sling attached for quick assembly while avoiding tangling the tethers for use of the staff as a normal walking or herding device.

An amazing little quirk about the staff-sling is that it is difficult to hit a close object your own height, as it tends to send the projectile upwards. That could be helpful when trying to down a giant!

Another observation by a modern day slinger is the possibility that a running shot would give it a greater range and impact, which is what David did in an apparent Kamikaze attack.

I suppose this feature could be used in regular warfare to have a wide angling arch to smash enemies behind a wall or over the heads of your comrades in arms.
