Of States, of Tyrants, and of Banners

According to The American Vision, a man in Louisiana has been detained by police on the side of the road for displaying one of America's first flags on a bumper-sticker. He had to wait while they ran a background check on him to make sure he wasn't a member of an "extremist group".

It is apparent that displaying Rattler flags is now illegal in some states.

I'm glad. They just keep pushing it more and more, people are waking up to the massive amounts of treason and terror and treachery against us.

The line in the sand is now being drawn between the free, sovereign states and the enslaved, agent states with the issue of gun rights; Alaska, Montana, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah are all saying any firearms or ammunition made in their states are free from federal regulation.

If Kansas doesn't allow itself to join them, as we have a very dysfunctional legislature, I may join the influx of freedom-seeking peoples from all over the country that will undoubtedly be making the pilgrimage to the free states. I hope, though, that Kansas will not fail me.

But, will Obama allow these states to defy him? Will the Democrats or back-stabbing Republicans allow this either? Will the men who have invested their lives and fortunes into disarming this enslaved nation allow it, too?

Montana's law goes into effect in October; will we see something happen that may hinder the execution of such legislation -- say, Martial Law?

There would have to be a pretext for this, but it's easy enough to create a problem-reaction-solution. Eh, Obama?

Montana: The Firearm Freedom State

(Oddly similar to the Kansan flag)

Montana has been on the sunny side of the Second Amendment since it signed on to the U.S. Constitution when it became a state in 1889.

Most recently, it played a major role in the D.C. gun-ban Supreme Court case, with its legislature basically stating that they would consider secession if the Supreme Court ruled against the Second Amendment, since Montana became a state on the condition that the Second Amendment guaranteed an individual's right to keep and bear arms.

Now comes the news that Montana has a bill that has passed the Montana House of Representatives that would exempt all Montana made firearms in the hands of Montana citizens from Federal gun laws.

More and more we are seeing a new era in our country's history, a new state's rights era; an era that may prove to be the largest genuine movement of discontent among the states in America since the 1860's.

And it's about time, too! Now Kansas is suspending income tax refunds due to insufficient funds! Now is the time for the states to take back control for the people, the control guaranteed to them by the Tenth Amendment and the very nature of our form of government.

Alaskan Independence: Part I: The Founder

Joe Vogler was born a native Kansan in 1913.

In 1934, five years after enrolling at the age of 16 on a scholarship, he attained a law degree from the University of Kansas, and was admitted to the Kansas State Bar at age 21.

He eventually moved to Alaska in 1942, where he worked for the Army Corps of Engineers for nine years before homesteading there and taking up gold-mining.

After many years of actively petitioning and campaigning for the secession of Alaska, he formed the Alaskan Independence Party in 1984.

The quote for which he is best known is: "I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I've got no use for America or her ------ institutions." (Just keepin' it clean.)

Another famous quote is: "The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government. And I won't be buried under their ---- flag. I'll be buried in Dawson. And when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones home."

Don't be mislead by the above quote; I'm certain that he meant the politicians running the American government. He often carried a pocket-Constitution with him, so he was a tried and true American, if only in spirit.

My favourite of his is: "Government is not the giver of rights; only God confers these to the people. People create government, giving it certain and limited powers. Only eternal vigilance by the people will confine government to its proper role."

He was murdered mysteriously in 1993, supposedly by Manfried West, a thief.

He was buried in a shallow grave before finally being laid to rest in Dawson, Yukon Territory, Canada.

No U.S. flag flies over his grave.
